Questions & Answers

Below you will find a list of the most frequently asked questions

LDPE (low-density polyethylene) shrink film is a packaging film that contracts when heated and conforms closely to the packaged goods. It is often used for protective packaging to pack products securely and stably.

No, our films are not only convincing when it comes to shrinking, but are also ideal for pure shrink-wrapping. Unneedled films are used when there is no shrinkage and the item is shrink-wrapped loosely. This pure shrink film delivers outstanding packaging results.

Duraplast films have excellent welding properties, whether Duralen Classic (LDPE) or our sustainable alternatives Duralen Recy, Duralen Green, Duralen PIR and Duralen PCR.

The perforation in shrink film enables better air circulation and prevents the formation of air bubbles during the shrinking process. This results in smoother and firmer packaging.

Our films are relatively non-slip. For trouble-free processing on some packaging machines (e.g. forming shoulder), a higher surface smoothness is sometimes necessary. We adapt the formulations individually for your application. Long-term storage should be avoided, as the additives used in this modification, such as antistatic agents or lubricants, lose their effect. We recommend using this specially treated product within 3-4 months.

Biaxial shrink film provides a skin-tight, sealed and contour-true full wrap. With uniform shrinkage in both directions, the biaxial shrink film is perfect for individual packaging, especially for the full wrap of sophisticated individual packaging. The shrinkage values are reliably approx. 50% lengthwise and crosswise.

Monoaxial shrink film is suitable for banding. The shrinkage values are approx. 70% lengthwise and 20% crosswise. This film is ideal for applications where directional shrinkage is preferred, such as bundling bottles or cans.

Yes, Duraplast film is recyclable. It can be recycled after use, which helps to reduce waste and reduces the environmental impact.

Single-layer film, also known as monomaterial, consists of only one type of material. This facilitates recycling and ensures high purity and quality of the recycled materials.

Yes, we offer LDPE films made from renewable raw materials. Our sustainable alternative is called DURALEN Green and is an environmentally friendly option for your packaging needs.

We offer customized film formats and delivery quantities according to your requirements – even from the smallest quantities.
